Apparently, In 1979, Diabetes only cost 42 cents. 

Note from submitter: When i was a kid i was forced to go to ‘the salvage store’ where beaten up can of beans, expired twinkies, and cardboard toilet paper only cost a dollar.  i found this in November 2009 in my mother’s cabinets. Sugar never goes bad. even 30 year old sugar..
